KJTS Enters Strategic Collaboration for Medi-City Development in Penang
Partnership with FBG Land and Penang Development Corporation to Drive Sustainable Urban Growth
KJTS Group Berhad ("KJTS") has entered a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with FBG Land Sdn Bhd ("FBL") and The Penang Development Corporation ("PDC") to develop and operate a district cooling system infrastructure for the Medi-City project in Batu Kawan, Penang. Combining PDC’s role as Penang’s premier development agency, FBL’s property development expertise, and KJTS’s technical and operational capabilities, the partnership aims to establish Medi-City as a model of sustainable urban growth.
Under the agreement, PDC will provide land within Medi-City for the Plant, FBL will oversee construction, and KJTS will design, operate, and maintain the cooling system to ensure reliable and efficient services. The collaboration will enhance Medi-City’s sustainability by providing eco-friendly cooling solutions for its facilities and commercial buildings, aligning with KJTS’s commitment to innovative, energy-efficient infrastructure.
The collaboration strengthens KJTS’s presence in Penang’s market and reflects its strategic focus on expanding regionally across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
