PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Purpose

To assist in managing and implement the project(s) assigned ensuring implementation of proper project management to complete the works within the standards, cost and time set by the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Manager in project / contract review.
  • Execute project implementation program.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the project throughout its program.
  • Assist to review the authorized project budget.
  • Review manpower requirement with management.
  • Initiate relevant document e.g. Purchase Requisition/ subcontractor/ supplier Comparison Report.
  • Sourcing, identifying, recommending subcontractors/ suppliers for approval in KJE Approved Vendor List.
  • Monitor the performance of the selected subcontractor/ supplier at the end of the project.
  • Custodian of contract documents and client/ consultant supplied data.
  • Coordinate and review project progress.
  • Resolve quality issues with client/ consultant.
  • Project finalization and operation manual.
  • Act on warranty and defect liability matters.
  • Responsible for investigating, implementing corrective action, monitoring, verifying the effectiveness as well as preventive action to customer complaint.
  • Ensure the adopted inspection, testing and commissioning procedure are carried out in accordance with KJE's ITP.
  • Monitor calibration status of all monitoring and measuring equipment used by subcontractor and supplier.
  • Responsible for managing QMS at site.
  • Prepare Site Quality Plan.
  • Maintain quality records for project management activities.
  • Carry out any other assignment as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

Qualification & Experiences

  • Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing HVAC project.
  • Experience in cost estimation, tendering, material take off etc. 

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Understanding engineering standard practice.
  • Good fundamental Engineering knowledge.
  • Knowledge of computer software - MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera etc.
  • Technical report writing skill.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, problem solving & communication skills.
  • Relocation is a key requirement for this position. Only candidates who are able to move will be considered.
